Macpherson 10 Litre Brilliant White Vinyl Matt Emulsion *Hard wearing Finish*

An attractive finish that is tough and practical. The ideal choice for interior walls and ceilings where a modern flat matt finish is required.

 PROPERTIES Drying time Under normal drying conditions touch dry in 2 hours, recoatable after 4 hours. Allow for adequate ventilation during the drying period. Finish Matt. Composition Pigment: Titanium Dioxide, coloured pigments and extenders. Binder: Vinyl acetate copolymer. Solvent: Water. Spreading rate 15-16m² per litre depending on surface texture and porosity. 

Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8ºC or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

PREPARATION New surfaces All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Powdery, polished plaster or dense surfaces should be primed with Macpherson Universal Primer. Porous surfaces should be ‘mist’ coated with Macpherson Vinyl Matt thinned with up to 40% clean water. Previously decorated surfaces All surfaces must be suitably dry, and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied eg dirt, grease etc. Remove all loose, and failing or suspect paint. Remove grey and denatured surfaces by rubbing down with abrasive paper. Feather edges of sound paint. Remove all dust. Organic growth must be removed and the areas treated with Crown Trade Fungicidal Solution. Fill any fixing holes, cracks and shallow surface defects with Sandtex Trade Ready Mixed Filler. Patch prime bare and filled areas with Macpherson Stain Blocking Primer. Wash remaining sound paint with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water. Any glossy or eggshell surfaces should be wet abraded to provide a key. Rinse with clean water to remove all residues. Allow to dry. If after cleaning any areas are still contaminated with substances likely to cause staining and/or bleeding, patch prime with one coat of Macpherson Stain Blocking Primer. Bring forward patch primed areas with one coat of Macpherson Vinyl Matt.
